Certified Counselor/Social Worker

Job description

Qualifications

Minimum of two years of experience as a certified counselor, therapist, or social worker focusing on Substance Abuse or Behavioral Disorders. Must be comfortable and accustomed to assisting persons with mental illness. Bilingual in Spanish and English (Preferred but not required). Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, and treatment Certified Counselor or Professional license as a social worker.

At least 2 years of work experience Current TB test, Health Screening Report, CPR/First Aid Cert. Must pass FBI/DOJ live scan background check


Responsibilities

Assist clients in articulating personal goals for recovery through the use of one-to-one and group sessions, support clients in identifying and creating goals, and developing recovery plans with skills, strengths, supports, and resources to support achieving those goals. 

Utilize and teach problem-solving techniques with individuals and groups, sharing own experiences and skills, strengths, and supports they use. 

Work with medical and behavioral health providers to ensure coordination of services and that all case management & support service needs are met Ensure necessary documentation to meet funding contract(s) performance requirements.

Maintain accurate records regarding the patients' histories and progress, services provided, and other required information.

Review and evaluate clients' progress in relation to measurable goals described in treatment and care plans.

Process admissions on new participants.

Conduct sessions as directed by the Program Director.

Intervene as an advocate for clients or patients to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations.


Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
