Individual counseling helps to build confidence in participants as they transition into the communit

Those transitioning from active drug and alcohol use in Los Angeles need individualized attention to address the underlying issues that challenge their ability to cope with their new feeling about recovery and to address prevention techniques to prevent relapse.

Group counseling is a necessary part of the recovery process.

In the group setting, outpatient participants are able to not only acquire healthy interpersonal skills in a controlled setting,  but they are able to learn vital techniques from other group members. Some of these valuable skills acquired within the group include communication,  relapse prevention and trust.

Through structured sessions participants are able to work with a counselor to address personalized goals and objectives which otherwise might not get the attention they require. Case management sessions include health, employment and legal. These sessions are tailored to the participants outpatient treatment plan to ensure a more successful transition.

Early recovery is filled most often with doubt. Through random drug testing the participants of Detour Transitions are held accountable for their abstinence and for their relapses. This valuable tool helps to identify problems before they get out of control and potentially require a higher level of drug rehab.  Laboratory reports are made available upon request.
